My Top Pregnancy Must Haves (plus a Code For A FREE Bump Box)

1st trimester sickness

I labeled this 1st trimester sickness although that is not what it was for me. I was sick from the day I found out I was pregnant until about 18 weeks. “Morning sickness” was also a joke because I was sick all day every single day and never got relief. Hopefully if you’re reading this, that isn’t the case for you! I tried every remedy/medication you can think of (sea bands, zofran, phenergan, lemons, essential oils, dramamine, etc). There were only 2 things that would take off the edge: preggie pop drops and Emetrol.

This pregnancy has been rough and I’ve had a ton of issues, but the one good thing has been my skin. I had some breakouts in the 1st trimester, but after that my skin has been perfect (hallelujah). When I had the breakouts in the beginning, this drying lotion got rid of breakouts over night. The only issue I’ve had is dry skin and the Neutrogena Hydro Boost has been amazing.

A pregnancy pillow is an absolute must! I promise you won’t regret this purchase! Before getting pregnant, I had no idea “pregnancy congestion” was a thing, but it is. Sleeping with a humidifier every night made a huge difference. This one also has a night light which is nice for those middle of the night pees.

I honestly was not prepared for the girls to grow as quickly as they did. haha. I ended up going up about 2 cup sizes by the 2nd trimester. Everyone I talked to recommended going ahead and getting nursing bras because you can wear them now and later. Let me tell you, these are the most comfortable bras I’ve ever worn in my entire life! I also needed to get some different underwear as my belly grew that were more comfortable, came up a little higher (so the belly wouldn’t keep pushing them down), and weren’t thongs. These were the most comfortable ones I found.

Maternity Bottoms

*pre-pregnancy I wore a size 4 or medium*

These are my top bottoms I have reached for over and over again throughout this pregnancy. I wear a size medium in the leggings. I wear a size 6 in the denim shorts and these are by far my favorite. They’re cute and don’t look maternity plus they’re stretchy and soft. The white shorts are the best white maternity shorts I could find but they do run small so size up one to two sizes minimum. I wear a size 8. These sweatpants are the best things in the world and I own them in all three colors that they come in. I wear a size medium. These are my favorite maternity jeans I own and I wear a size 6.

Maternity Brands

a:glow from Kohl’s has been one of my favorite brands, especially for loungewear. They have the softest material ever! These a:glow sweatpants have been the single best maternity clothing purchase I have ever made. They are the most comfortable and softest pants ever. They’re linked above, but worth mentioning/linking again because they’re just that good! I also really love Isabel from Target.

Belly Lotion/Oil

I have heard nothing but great things about the Palmer’s Cocoa Butter so I went ahead and linked it. However, I personally couldn’t handle the smell. If coconut smell doesn’t bother you then I’m sure this would be great for you. I got this belly butter and oil in my bump box and have been obsessed with them both. I can’t say these prevent stretch marks, but I will say I’m 33 weeks and don’t have any stretch marks yet. I use the belly butter in the morning and the oil before bed.

You don’t need anything fancy when it comes to prenatal vitamins. More expensive doesn’t mean it is any better than anything else. As long as the vitamin has 600mcg of folic acid in it, you’re good. I personally was so sick in the beginning I couldn’t keep down actual pills and had to go with gummies. These were my favorite but everyone’s body and pregnancy is different so just pick one that has 600mcg of folic acid that you like. I will say, if you decide to go with these, they are $10 cheaper at Walmart than any other retailer I saw for some reason.

Bump Boxes

Bump Boxes is a monthly subscription box that I have genuinely enjoyed getting. There are different options to choose from depending on your budget/how often you want to receive a box. I have found a lot of great pregnancy brands through these boxes, and products are full sized which has been awesome. I would definitely recommend this box especially if you are a new mom wanting to find brands/products that you love.

If you sign up for a 9 month subscription, you can get the first box FREE with code “FREEFORYOU”
