If you’ve been around here for the past few months then I’m sure you already know this, but in case you’re new: In May, I graduated pharmacy school and my husband & I moved to a new state. (I guess you could say May was a pretty big month).
Part of settling into a new place (& being newly graduated) included getting all our financials situated. We were both very pleased when we came in contact with Family Trust Federal Credit Union in Rock Hill, SC.
Family Trust serves the community of York County. You have to be a member of the York County community, but the great thing is that doesn’t mean you have to physically live in York County. As long as you live, worship, work, or go to school in the county, or if you have immediate family who is already a member, Family Trust is happy to serve you. This was great news for us because we don’t physically live in the county.
An aspect of Family Trust that Derek and I really appreciated is that when you join, you become a member not just a customer. Family Trust is a non-profit organization that is owned by its members. We loved this aspect because it makes the experience so personal, and as a member, you have the right to vote for who you want on the board of directors.
Derek and I applied to become a member online from our living room which was so nice. I loved the convenience factor of being able to apply online. I was genuinely shocked with how quick and easy it was. It took less than 5 minutes and everything was very straight forward.
If you are local and are looking for a credit union to join, I recommend checking out Family Trust Federal Credit Union in Rock Hill, SC. I have loved my experience so far and look forward to working with them in the future.
