The most raved about razor on social media ever! The Billie Razor.
I don’t know about you, but when I see something over and over again on social media with so many people raving about it, I start to wonder if its really worth the hype.
Here is a little behind the scenes of blogging that you may or may not know: Most influencers are either gifted and/or paid to promote certain products. I have received both gifted product (aka free) & payment at different times for different products so trust me when I say, this is NOT a bad thing. I like to believe the majority of influencer are the same as me, and will not promote anything they do not love/believe in no matter the payment. I have turned down much more than I have accepted for many different reasons (didn’t like it, didn’t believe in the brand’s message, didn’t think my followers will like the product, etc).
With all the hype around certain brands such as Billie or Tula and others, I thought I would start a new series called “Is It Worth The Hype?” where I will buy these products myself, give them a try, and then share my 100% unfiltered, honest opinion. This way there would be no question if I my opinion was biased due to gift or payment.
So lets get to it. Is the Biller razor worth the hype?
Quality: Is the razor a good razor? Yes. Is the razor the best razor I’ve ever tried like most people claim? Absolutely not. Its average.
Convenience: I like that the razor is delivered to your front door so you don’t have to worry about running out of razors and forgetting to pick them up. That’s probably the most appealing part about this razor for me personally.
Price: The price point is also pretty good. I usually use venus razors and I feel like the Billie is very similar in quality. You can get 3 disposable venus razors for about $7 and you get 3 billie replacements razors for $9.
Is it worth the hype? No. My overall opinion is that it is a good razor, but it wasn’t anything that blew me away like people make it seem. Whether you chose to try it or not should probably just depend on the connivence factor. If it makes your life more convenient to have your razors delivered to your front door monthly, then by all means, this is the razor for you. If you don’t have any issues picking up your razors on your next Target run then I would just stick to your usual routine.
I hope you found this useful. Let me know your thoughts! Comment below what you would like me to review in the next “Is It Worth The Hype?” post.
