I was lucky enough to spend a long weekend in Charleston recently with some amazing boss babes! (Sarah, Lauren 1, Lauren 2, Mackenzie, & Katie). We spent a lot of time working, shooting content for fall, working with brands, etc, but we definitely still made some time for fun. I’m sharing the best of all of fun we packed into 3 short days!
Where We Stayed
Cambria Hotel Mount Pleasant
This hotel was so nice. It was super clean, everything seemed brand new, and they had amazing service. I forgot to take pictures of the rooms before we destroyed them with our 763 outfits. haha. But trust me, the rooms are even nicer than the lobby!
Where We Ate
Millers All Day
The cutest brunch spot ever! Its absolutely adorable inside and has amazing food. They also have “unicorn grits” which are pink grits so obviously I had to have them. haha.
Such a fun place. First off, literally the best grits I’ve ever had in my life! They have amazing food. The restaurant is inside an old house and there are lots of ghost stories that come along with your meal. (P.S. I dare you to go into the upstairs bathroom)
Amazing mexican food with the funniest names of each dish. The food really is great and its perfect if you have a big group of girls.
Red’s Ice House
Great food and a gorgeous view. Give yourself some time to just walk around this area. Its so pretty and right on the water. Theres a ton of other places to eat around here too.
Monza Pizza Bar
Absolutely yummy! I would like to say I shared this pizza, but the truth is I ate every last bite… all by myself.
What We Did
Literally a whole row of gorgeous, bright colored houses that look like this one. Its honestly more than a row. Its a whole neighborhood. Rainbow Row is pretty much what Charleston is famous for and the pictures don’t even do it justice.
Plan to watch the sunset here one evening. Its gorgeous! It over looks the water, theres a nice breeze, and there is this cutest pineapple fountain ever!
You could spend your whole trip on King street and have everything you need. Shops, restaurants, ice cream shops, hotels, …. literally you name it, and its on King Street.
The cutest ice cream shop you will every find in your entire life. This wall is just a small glimpse. Everything inside is so bright, colorful, and fun! The owner was amazing and so sweet. I love this place because they also have dairy free options (shout out to my fellow lactose intolerant peeps), and you can also create your own drink. (I recommend trying sprite + strawberry + peach… YUM).
This place is GORGEOUS!! It is a hotel but you’re welcomed inside and its a great place if you’re looking to take some gorgeous pictures. There is also a pink champagne bar inside which is stunning just to look at all on its own.
Unfortunately we didn’t have time for this, but I wish we would have. There are some amazing mansions with great history that you can tour. We did get to at least see the outside of them, and wow… just wow.
Charleston is definitely as gorgeous as everyone says it is. I will for sure be making another trip and bringing Derek along. Although it was a short trip, I still feel like we packed in a ton of fun (& especially food)! Hopefully you make time for a girlfriends trip & try some of these places. I promise, you won’t regret it!
