If you know me, you know I love work wear. In pharmacy school, I am required to dress professional every day. When I first started pharmacy school I hated this rule, but now I actually love work wear. When I wear a good, cute workwear outfit, I always feel so put together (even though I’m really a hot mess, haha). One thing I don’t like though is boring workwear. I’m a firm believer that you can still dress in fun colors and patterns while remaining professional.
I especially love to add in extra bright and fun colors/patterns when spring arrives to give my workwear a lively refresh, but workwear can be super expensive which really sucks. Its like you have to dress professional for your job, but then you use all the money you make from your job on clothes for your job. How is that fair? haha. BUT good news, y’all know I’m a savvy shopper so I’m always on the look out for affordable workwear, and I hit the jackpot here! Everything in this post is under $35.
Also, just a little fun fact: a lot of these pieces are on sale online, but NOT in store (I don’t understand it). So if you’re not sure what size, I would recommend ordering two sizes and then you can return the wrong size in store. That way you still get the sale price!
Excuse the fact that the mirror is crazy dirty, but ya know, its a dressing room. haha.
This top is super soft and comfortable. It does fit a little big. I’m wearing a small here so you can see it fits kinda long. I would recommend going down a size unless you’re a lot bigger in the chest area. I would personally style this top with some pink dress pants for a brighter, spring look. The model is wearing this top with yellow shorts which is also super cute for summer.
This dress is super comfortable and stretchy. It fits TTS and I am wearing a small here. The tie at the waist makes this dress super flattering. The length is also super appropriate for work. This would also be great to transition into winter with a blazer overtop.
This leopard print tank top is so cute and flowy. Its great to throw on under a blazer or cardigan for work and then transition it into weekend wear with some jeans. I’m a sucker for blazers and this light pink color was screaming my name. Its light weight material and clean pink color make it perfect for spring.
This was my favorite item from the try on! The picture does’t even do it justice. This dress is the prettiest color blue ever. It fits TTS, I am wearing a small. It is insanely flattering! The length is super appropriate for work. I think this dress would be the perfect easter dress as well. It would be adorable with wedges or pink heels!
This top fits TTS, I am wearing a small. I love this top because it can be worn a ton of different ways and all year long. Wear it now like this, with colored pants, skirt, etc. and then wear it in the winter with a blazer, cardigan, etc. This is a really great staple piece to have.
This sweater is insanely soft, light weight, and comfortable, but it does run super big! I am wearing a small but I definitely needed an XS (I used a hair clip to clip it in the back in this picture). Its perfect for spring because it is light weight and it comes in 11 different colors! I paired it over top of the polka dot sleeveless blouse because I think it gave a very feminine and professional look. This would also be great for a casual look as well. You could pair it with white denim and bralette and it would be super cute!
This top is the same top as the first one, just a different pattern. Once again, I’m wearing a small here and I would recommend going down a size unless you’re a lot bigger in the chest area. This top is another great staple to have in your closet. Its a very light blue color which is super pretty for spring and summer and it can be worn a ton of different ways.
I hope this workwear try on was helpful! Let me know if you like this or hate this. Want more workwear? Less workwear? More try ons? No try ons? haha. Give me all the feedback! I want to be as helpful as possible!
